Shane Porter began his career in the pawn business in Tulsa, OK in 1992 working for a large corporate pawn shop chain. He was a store
manager working in all 5 Tulsa locations, training new store managers. He was the manager of the largest Tulsa location when he &
Debbie left Tulsa to return home to go into business for themselves. Debbie began in the pawn business in 1993.
At Porter's Pawn & Bargain Center, Inc, our primary objective is simple; to develop and maintain an uncompromising committment
to customer service and enhancement of the pawn industry while providing our customers with a clean well-lit, modern, professioanlly
operated customer service oriented store.
In 1995, we opened Porter's Pawn & Bargain Center, Inc. in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
About a year after opening, we did our first addition to our building to enlarge the pawn storage area. In 2007 we undertook another
addition to the building. This time we doubled it to a massive 8000 sq. ft.
We have ten employees, which include a GIA jeweler
(who has been with Porter's since 1995), and her apprentice. The other employees are highly trained, professional pawnbrokers with
over 50 years combined pawnbroking experience.
We offer the longest term pawn loan available in the area. All pawn merchandise
is safely stored in a separate holding area until it is reclaimed or it forfeits. We have bank vault storage, and a security system
with video surveillance.
You will find just about anything once inside our doors. We sell on Ebay and Gunbroker, besides the
other merchandise you find on our shelves. All merchandise we sell has been tested and cleaned before it is put on display. We guarantee
all the electronics we sell for 30 days.
Our jeweler, with nearly 30 years experience, offers all phases of jewelry repair and
custom design. Using the latest technology, she also designs and creates custom one-of-a-kind pieces for sale in the store.
We
offer layaway, gift cards, and free gift wrapping.
